| A Snow-white Tea in the Guest Bedroom
Emmie and her mom! Emmie and her mom had visited Ardenwood, I think it was early 2013, we were doing a flow through and I was the docent in the Guest Bedroom. We have Clara's trunk in there and it holds a few things that we use to teach the school kids: a child-size bustle and corset, an old button shoe and shoe hook. I had quite a few guests in the room and was describing a few 1800 fashions. When Emmie worked her way to the front, I asked her if she would like to model the corset and bustle. That was all it took! She was a natural, and came back again before leaving the house. Before they left Emmie was not only signed up for volunteer docent training, her mom was too! And now you will see both of them enjoying showing off the house often!
