I have a meeting this morning but wanted you to have something to think about.

It has no cutting edge, it is like a pincher. The pincher hold is not real tight but it will hold it's weight easily when pinched on something.
It has a maker's mark that says:

PY-RA-LIN
Looks like something a Gynecologist would use.
ReplyDeleteLets see... book page holder? Fabric holder when sewing?
It is.........drum roll please...wait what do I get if I get it right?
ReplyDeleteok so Mom said she would treat me to a coffee night out if I got this right. Soooo...the answer is......drum roll please.......It was used during the Victorian era, it was used to stretch out a ladys gloves.
ReplyDeleteOK, Cathy, you have proved you listen when I tell you these stories! If the story I was told is correct, it was used for stretching the fingers of gloves and for pulling out the fingers when the gloves are taken off and the finger are inside-out.
ReplyDeleteI looked on the internet for one and didn't find any so I hope that is the true use.
